Walk after lust
Not afraid to speak evil of dignities
Riot in the day time for pleasure
Speak evil of things that they do not understand
Commit adultery
Beguiling unstable souls
Covet
Would not heed the words of prophets
This list helps us recognize the obvious false teachers, but more importantly it helps us to become more aware of the subtle false teachers that are out there, too.
Dangers of returning to the "pollutions of the world.":
If you commit a sin and repent, then turn and commit that sin again your punishment will be far greater the second time. In essence, then, you never really repented in the first place because true repentance means you would never turn and do that sin again.
